Play Centre Assistant
Responsible To: Managers/Supervisors
Hours: Includes weekends & school holidays
As a key member of our dynamic team, you will help to ensure the smooth operation of our family play venue and provide excellent customer service at all times.
In this role you will be required to carry out daily operational tasks including; start of/end of day checks as necessary, maintaining the highest standards of customer service, adhere to the food hygiene procedures and help with keeping all areas of the building clean and tidy for our visitors (e.g. wiping tables, food delivery, vacuuming, dishwashing), assist and serve behind our busy café, serve food from our kitchen and handle sums of money using electronic tills with the utmost attention and accuracy. This role may carry other duties, including centre admissions and answering the telephone.
You should be professional and well presented – able to communicate clearly with people at all levels. You should be a self-motivated team player able to work unsupervised within the guidance given.
Skills Required: Applicants must be friendly and outgoing, good at talking to adults and children alike and happy to work in a bustling play centre – sounds easy, but can be hard work, so you must be willing to take that on. Food Hygiene, First Aid qualifications, previously working with children or in customer services are all useful, but not a necessity.
Training: Team members are expected to follow the training and guidance given to them by the management and supervisor teams. You will need to attend any scheduled training days as well as keeping any necessary qualifications up to date.
